A New Beginning
William Murdoch purchased WJ Murdoch at Mount Knowles, formerly operated by BHP, marking the beginning of the Murdoch family’s legacy in mining and mineral processing.
Family Business Takes Shape
Robert and Brian Murdoch took over the family business, transforming WJ Murdoch into a registered company. This era saw growth and a stronger foothold in the regional market.
Expansion & New Opportunities
The Murdoch family acquired Mudgee Dolomite & Lime Pty Ltd, previously known as Industrial Minerals Australia. This strategic move expanded their product range and strengthened their reputation in the agriculture and construction industries.
The Next Generation
Robert and Stephen Murdoch assumed full ownership of the company, rebranding it as RK Murdoch Pty Ltd, trading as Mudgee Dolomite & Lime. This father-and-son duo continues to drive the business forward with a commitment to quality, sustainability, and community support.
